National Theatre Connections – Cable Street performance
Listed Under: News
On Saturday 19th March at the Bonington Theatre, our Young Company excelled themselves and gave a brilliant performance despite so many unfortunate setbacks of people leaving and illness at the last minute. We are so thankful to Harry (a former Flying High member) who has stepped in to help. We shared the evening with a group from the Emmanuel School performing their Connections play and they were really impressed, making some lovely comments. The National Theatre Director was also very impressed especially as we had pulled together to make the show happen. Sophie and I had to become cast members and perform with scripts in hand.
We also had great support from Peter & Georgia, the technicians who managed the sound and lighting brilliantly. We had 101 sound cues for this show created by one of our Flying High Directors, Jack Quarton which made such a difference and added a huge level of professionalism to it. All in all, despite everything, we still received an excellent report for the NT Director who will support us when we transfer the show to Derby in May.
