Playhouse performance success for Senior Youth Theatre groups

Our Senior Youth Theatre members took to the Nottingham Playhouse stage on Tuesday when they performed as part of Youth Fest 2018.

We received great feedback from audience members and parents alike, who said it was a special moment to see their loved ones performing on the stage where they have seen professionals so many times before them.

All three SYT groups joined together and performed 'Children of Conflict' which took a historic look at children in Northern Ireland during and after the Troubles.

It was developed to feature alongside the performance of 'The Ceasefire Babies' at the Bonington Theatre in March, but was reworked for Youth Fest.

They delivered a mature performance of what is a challenging subject matter, and absolutely loved the experience of being on such a prestigious stage in the process.

Well done to all our members and everybody else involved!

Even the Playhouse's artistic director, Adam Penford, seemed to enjoy the night of performance from youth theatre groups across Nottingham.
