Two more of the Flying High team are performing professionally next month in Grace at Derby's Guildhall Theatre.

Workshop leader Rachel Bird and former member and teacher Aaron Belcher will both be performing in Grace - The Lighthouse Girl from 27 - 30 June.

The new musical features a 12 piece band and follows the story of Grace Darling.

Aaron, who will be playing a whole host of characters, said: "I'm so excited! Open Road Productions are an exciting new company, near Nottingham, who support their actors financially and believe in us as performers.

"There will be the big band and really cool harmonies. The music will be really great and it's their own take on the story, so it's really interesting. I can't wait at all to get started."

And the theatre says of the show: "From the solitude and quietness of a small lighthouse island, an unassuming, hardworking Northumberland lass is catapulted to fame after being involved in a brave rescue at sea.

"'I only did what I could', she says … but sometimes ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

"The story of the Lighthouse Girl keeps shining."

Tickets cost £15 and can be found, along with more information about the show, here: www.derbylive.co.uk/whats-on/grace-the-lighthouse-girl/
