'Then and Now' school workshops up and running
Listed Under: News
This summer we will be running free workshops in schools as part of the 'Then and Now' project which we will be revealing more about very soon.
We will run the dance, drama and singing workshops in a total of ten schools and across a wide range of age groups between now and September.
And they have already got underway!
Our GCSE Dance students have been working with Flying High Expressive Arts Company exploring movement commemorating the centenary of the end of WW1. Some exceptional talent showcased this morning! Thank you @FlyingHighCo ! pic.twitter.com/pjx4nCTmfA— Arnold Hill Academy (@Arnold_Hill) July 10, 2018
Arnold Hill Academy, Willow Farm Primary School and Netherfield Primary School have all taken part in sessions so far.
Arnold Hill had a two hour dance session, Willow Farm Primary's year 2 class and Netherfield Primary's year 4s had drama and role play workshops.
Over the next two months we'll be going to Carlton Juniors, Westdale Juniors and Woodborough Primary School to run similar workshops.
One of these will even involve creating a whole piece to perform in just two hours!
We have spaces for four more schools to get involved with these free workshops too. Anybody with connections, ideas or suggestions can email email@example.com to let us know!
