Then & Now project ends with Remembrance presentation

Our Heritage Lottery funded project, Then & Now: Changing Lives After the Great War, came to a close last month as Carrie Bird presented everything that had gone on so far to an audience at a Remembrance Weekend event in Arnold.

The event, which took place at the Bonington Theatre, saw Carrie run through the school workshops, play 'Dear Lucy...' and Summer School which we have put on as part of the project.

Rachel Bird then closed off proceedings by performing the closing song from the show (above).

It was a lovely evening and an appropriate time to discuss the project, the night before the one hundredth anniversary of the ending of the war on 11 November 1918.

The final part of the project is the Learning Resource, which brings together everything we used, created and shared throughout the entire Then & Now process. You can find it at ww1thenandnow.org
