Where are they now?
Here are some of our Flying High alumni who have pursued their love of theatre, television and performing - keeping you up to date about what they are doing now.
Jennifer Manderson (1994 – 2007) graduated from Coventry University in Dance/Drama and is a freelance dance artist and performer. She performs and tours with Spiltmilk Dance Company and choreographs and performs for her own company, Next Door Dance.
Nicola Chambers (1994 – 2006) graduated from Middlesex University in Dance Studies and is working as a freelance dance artist in Notts mainly for Dance 4 and County Youth Arts.
Laura Woodward (2003 - 2007) graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama and works as a Director and artistic programmer at Arts Depot in London.
Rachel Bird (1994 – 2009) originally trained in Acting at the Oxford School of Drama. She graduated as an actor from Court Theatre Training Company and completed her MA in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. She is about to appear as The Empress in Hereford's pantomime, Aladdin.
Joanna Chambers (1994 - 2009) graduated from Phil Winston's Performing Arts Academy in Blackpool as a dance performer. She has worked abroad as a dancer in Cyprus and Corfu.
Shona Manderson (1994 - 2009) graduated from Preparation Performance Academy (PPA - Guildford) as a Musical Theatre performer. She played Jasmine in Aladdin at Southend in 2015.
Jack Quarton (1998 - 2010) graduated as an actor from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and works as an actor-musician and freelance acting / singing tutor, composer, lyricist, MD and sound designer. He will soon be in Derby Theatre's Christmas show, Alice in Wonderland playing the White Rabbit.
Kimberley Allsopp (1999 - 2010) graduated from Birmingham School of Acting and is now working for Nottingham based Nonsuch Theatre Company as a workshop leader and artistic assistant.
Christie Rolley (1996 – 2011) graduated from Cambridge University with a History degree and is working in television - She has recently cast for Channel 4's series 'Hunted'. Christie has now moved (November 2016) to BBC Entertainment North based near Manchester.
Tash Bird (1996 - 2013) graduated as a singer / song writer from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and performs in gigs all over the region, busking at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has released her first EP 'Normal is Boring' and also works as a vocal tutor and arranger.
Sarah Keyworth (1998 - 2011) graduated from De Montford University, Leicester in Drama and pursued her interest in Stand Up Comedy doing gigs all over London and visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She came 2nd in Britain's Funny Woman of the year in 2015 and has supported other well known comedians.
Aaron Belcher (2009 - 2013) works as an actor for M & M Theatrical Productions and has toured all over Great Britain in Robin Hood & The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. He is now tour manager as well as an actor.
Sophie Hatton (2000 - 2013) graduated from East 15 as a actor with a particular focus on physical theatre. She is in the process of setting up her own theatre company with others from East 15 called 'Ditto' with which she intends to tour.
Lara Sas (2001 - 2014) graduated from the Musical Theatre Academy and has her first role playing Rizzo in an Italian tour of the musical 'Grease'
